Big Second Inning Leads McCook MNB Seniors Past Norton

McCook MNB Seniors defeated Norton 9-0 on Monday at McCook in a game that ended up getting called in the 4th inning due to incoming weather.  McCook would get five runs in the second inning. Miles Pollmann was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, an error scored one run, Noah Mashek doubled, scoring two runs, and Kooper Rakes scored after tagging up.

McCook MNB Seniors got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Quentin Terry homered to left field, and Norton committed an error, each scoring two runs.

Pollmann earned the win for McCook MNB Seniors. The starter gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Jaden Boyle took the loss for Norton. The hurler went three innings, surrendering nine runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out one and walking two.

Terry provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led McCook MNB Seniors with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Mashek and Pollmann each collected two hits for McCook MNB Seniors. McCook MNB Seniors didn't commit a single error in the field. Terry had the most chances in the field with three.

Owen Hammond led Norton with two hits in two at bats.

Next up for McCook MNB Seniors is a game against Gering Platte Valley Companies on Saturday for a Double Header starting at Noon.
