Bottom Of The Lineup Carries McCook MNB Seniors Past Imperial Horns

The bottom of the lineup helped McCook MNB Seniors capture a 4-2 victory over Imperial on Tuesday at Jaycees Complex. Ollie Corbett, Espn Hall, and Brody Graham combined for four of the team's five hits in the victory. They scored one run and drove in one.

Imperial got on the board in the first inning after a wild pitch scored one run.

Corbett walked, which helped McCook MNB Seniors tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.

Imperial took the lead in the top of the fourth. A wild pitch scored one run, to give Imperial the advantage, 2-1.

McCook MNB Seniors took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. An error scored two runs, to give McCook MNB Seniors the upper hand, 3-2.

Bryson Gullion earned the win for McCook MNB Seniors. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Kaden Vogt took the loss for Imperial. The starting pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (zero earned) on three hits, striking out seven and walking seven. Miles Pollmann started on the hill for McCook MNB Seniors. The hurler surrendered two hits and two runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking six.

Graham led McCook MNB Seniors with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. McCook MNB Seniors Hall, the number eight hitter, led McCook MNB Seniors with three hits in three at bats. Trey Tiller paced McCook MNB Seniors with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. McCook MNB Seniors didn't commit a single error in the field. Gullion had the most chances in the field with seven.

Camron Lempke and Brextin Moreno were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Imperial. George Colton led Imperial with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Lempke stole two bases. Imperial turned one double play in the game.
