ALVA, OKLAHOMA - Faith Simpson on Tuesday afternoon was named to the All-American First Team honors for the D2CCA. She becomes the first Lady Rangers player and first Northwestern player to earn First team All-American in the Division II era.

Simpson adds the D2CCA All-American honors after an outstanding season where she has earned All-Central region player of the year, Central region first team, GAC Player of the Year and GAC All-Conference First Team.

Her accolades accomplished during the 2023-2024 season also included 6x GAC player of the week, D2CIDA National Player of the Week, led the conference in scoring, top 3 in the nation in PPG, first in field goals made, and top three in all of DI and DII.

She also surpassed the 2,000 career points, and 1,000 career rebounds mark, while also scoring over 1,000 points here at Northwestern in two seasons.

Simpson helped lead the Lady Rangers to the most wins in the Division II era along with the most conference wins since joining the Great American Conference. This was the first 20-win season since the 1999-2000 season. Simpson finished the season averaging 21.6 points per game, with her season high 44 points, while adding 8.2 rebounds. The Ranger forward finished the season with seven double doubles.

Simpson was on of two Great American Conference players to earn All-American as Hannah Giddey from Southern Nazarene earned honorable mention All-American.

In other news - An efficient scorer, Simpson also led the Great American Conference and ranks in the Top-25 in DII in field goal percentage as she made 54.3% of her shot attempts (270-of-497). Her 270-made field goals leads DII and trails only Division I standouts, Caitlin Clark of Iowa and Elizabeth Kitley of Virginia Tech.
