The Nebraska softball team was placed in the top 11 of all four major preseason polls going into the 2026 campaign.

NU was tabbed No. 9 by USA Softball and D1 Softball, No. 10 by the NFCA and No. 11 by Softball America.

The Huskers return 84% of their at bats from last season and 97% of their innings pitched. The Big Red welcomes back NFCA Player of the Year and First-Team All-American Jordyn Frahm, who was also the first player to be named Big Ten Player of the Year and Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in the same season.

Nebraska also returns Ava Kuszak, who earned first-team All-Big Ten and NFCA All-Region honors last year. Samantha Bland and Hannah Camenzind return as All-Big Ten and All-Region selections, while Olivia DiNardo and Kacie Hoffmann were also All-Region picks.

The Big Red welcomes transfer outfielder Hannah Coor from Oklahoma and transfer catcher Jesse Farrell from UNLV, along with freshman pitcher Alexis Jensen, a two time Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year, and infielder Skarlett Jones.

Nebraska will open its season on Friday, Feb. 6 against Washington at the UTSA Invitational in San Antonio, Texas. The game is set to start at 1:05 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network.
