Huskers Launch 5 For $35 Ticket Package For Pack PBA

Lincoln - Nebraska women's basketball is offering an amazing ticket deal just in time for the holidays as part of its Pack PBA promotion when the Huskers host Indiana on Jan. 7. 

The Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office has activated a 5 for 35 ticket plan in honor of All-American Jordan Hooper's No. 35 jersey retirement, expected during pregame ceremonies on Jan. 7. The plan allows fans to purchase 5 general admission tickets for the game for just $35.

Tickets are available on-line now at Huskers.com. Although a game time has not been set for the contest with Indiana, it is expected to be played in the afternoon on Jan. 7 with an anticipated tip time between 1 and 5 p.m. (CT).

Nebraska recently completed a perfect 3-0 home stand with a resounding 108-35 win over UNC Wilmington on Tuesday at PBA. All-America candidate Jaz Shelley made history by recording her second career triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, while fellow All-America candidate and Lincoln native Alexis Markowski notched her fourth consecutive double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Nebraska's 73-point victory margin was the largest in school history against an NCAA Division I team and its 62 first-half points tied a school record. It followed a 58-point second half in an 80-72 win over Georgia Tech on Saturday. During the three-game stand, the Huskers knocked down 36 three-pointers, including 16 against the Seahawks on Tuesday.

Jordan Hooper will be joined by many of her 2013 and 2014 teammates on Alumni Day at Pack PBA, as the women's basketball program honors the 10-year anniversaries of its 2013 NCAA Sweet Sixteen squad and its 2014 Big Ten Championship team. All-American Lindsey Moore and starters Emily Cady and Hailie Sample are expected to attend alongside several other Huskers.

The pride of Alliance, Nebraska, Hooper was a first-team All-American that finished No. 2 in Husker history with 2,357 points while smashing the school record with 295 three-pointers. The 6-2 forward also pulled down 1,110 rebounds to rank No. 3 on the NU career list. Hooper spent nine years playing internationally as a professional, including four seasons in the WNBA after being chosen with the first pick of the second round in the 2014 WNBA by the Tulsa Shock.
