MCC reschedules basketball games for tonight

Because of the weather, several MCC Athletics events have been rescheduled.

Tuesday’s women’s and men’s basketball games that were postponed by weather have been rescheduled for tonight at McCook Community College’s Peter and Dolores Graff Events Center. The MCC women will play Northeastern Junior College at 5:30 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Indians are 16-10 and in second place in the Region IX South standings at 5-1. The Plainswomen are 2-5 in the standings and 6-21 on the season. These two teams met on Jan. 31 in Sterling, Colo. with MCC winning 87-68.

The MCC men are 12-13 overall and looking to move up in the standings where they are 2-5. NJC is 3-6 and 8-18 overall. The Plainsmen won the first game between the two teams 87-81 on Jan. 31. The Indians are 7-1 at home this season

MCC SOFTBALL: The Lady Indian softball team has added four games to the schedule and is moving inside to the FunCity Turf domes in Burlington, Iowa.

On Thursday MCC (3-1) will play North Central Missouri College (0-0) at 11 a.m. followed with a 1 p.m. game against Southeastern Community College-Iowa (6-4).

On Friday the Lady Indians play SECC-Iowa at 9 a.m. and Central Missouri at 11 a.m. 

MCC BASEBALL: The Indians’ home opener scheduled for Saturday and Sunday against Bismarck College is in doubt and the two teams are looking at alternative locations for their four-game series.
