McCook Finishes 3rd Place at District Meet

The McCook Golf Team finished in 3rd place with a team score of a 306 to qualify for the State Golf meet. The NSAA State High School Golf meet will take place May 28th and 29th.

Comments from Head Coach Ben Vetrovsky: "Another total team effort by the Bison at the district meet. It was an extremely tight race after nine holes of play with 6 teams in the running for the top 3 spots. The Bison showed a lot of resilience on the second nine holes after an hour lightning delay and they all put together some really nice scores. Landon Kmoch had another great day on the course and he was able to finish strong with a 1 under par second nine holes. Reid Loop played some solid golf from start to finish. Proud to see how he handled the conditions to place in the top 10. Keaton Loop didn't an exceptional job in his first district performance to place him in the top 10 as well. Trenton and Kolton also had really nice rounds to help punch our ticket to the state tournament. Our goal is to play our best golf at the state meet and we are going to work hard to see if we can bring home some hardware next week in Gering."
