Game 1

McCook MNB Seniors were victorious against Colby 6-3 on Sunday at Colby. Colby got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Colby scored on a passed ball, Talon Wark singled, and Talon Andreasen singled, each scoring one run. McCook MNB Seniors took the lead in the top of the sixth inning after Bryson Gullion walked, Brody Graham walked, and Simon Garcia grounded out, each scoring one run. Gabe Roberts earned the win for McCook MNB Seniors. They allowed five hits and three runs over six and one-third innings, striking out six and walking three. Braxton Withington took the loss for Colby. They went five and one-third innings, giving up five runs on two hits, striking out five and walking five. Trey Tiller collected the save. Quentin Terry and Trenton Raile were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for McCook MNB Seniors while hitting back-to-back. Garcia led McCook MNB Seniors with two runs batted in. McCook MNB Seniors had patience at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Ollie Corbett, Gullion, and Graham led the team with two bases on balls each. Wark led Colby with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Max Kersenbrock led Colby with two hits in four at bats.

Game 2

McCook MNB Seniors fell 10-6 to Colby on Sunday at Colby despite out-hitting them 10 to nine. Quentin Terry led McCook MNB Seniors with three hits. McCook MNB Seniors got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ollie Corbett walked, and Terry singled, each scoring one run. McCook MNB Seniors added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Simon Garcia hit a sacrifice fly, and Trey Tiller singled, each scoring one run. Colby took the lead in the bottom of the third. Cobin Curry singled, scoring two runs, to give Colby the leg up, 5-4. McCook MNB Seniors jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Garcia singled, and Colby committed an error, each scoring one run. Colby took the lead, 8-6, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by K Stramel, and R Ryan. Bryant Weideman earned the win for Colby. The reliever allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking none. Espn Hall took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. The lefty went four and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs (five earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking five. Kellen Burvee stepped on the mound first for Colby. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and six runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking one. McCook MNB Seniors piled up 10 hits in the game. Garcia went 2-for-3 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with two runs batted in. Curry, the number seven hitter for Colby, led the way with two runs batted in. The center fielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Braxton Withington, Weideman, and Stramel each collected two hits for Colby. Colby turned two double plays in the game. McCook MNB Seniors welcome Lexington on Tuesday for their next game.
