MNB Seniors Victorious Over Minden

MNB Seniors outsted Minden 4-2 on Monday.
Minden got on the board in the first inning after Cael Smith was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.
Kale Sattler grounded out, which helped MNB Seniors tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
In the bottom of the third, MNB Seniors broke up the tie when Kooper Rakes homered to left field, scoring two runs. Then a fly out by Abel Wilson followed to extend the lead to 4-1.
Bryson Gullion started the game for MNB Seniors. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking four. Jake Halvorsen led things off on the mound for Minden. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and four runs over two innings, striking out none and walking four. Cole Davidson and Bo Schlegel each appeared in relief for MNB Seniors.
Rakes drove the middle of the lineup, leading MNB Seniors with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Asher Wilson paced MNB Seniors with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Sattler and Trenton Raile each stole multiple bases for MNB Seniors.
Smith and Luke Grollmes were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Minden. Grollmes led Minden with two hits in four at bats. Minden turned two double plays in the game.
