MNB Seniors Win In Fashion, Walk It Off Versus Loomis
MNB Seniors took Thursday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 5-4 walk-off victory over Loomis. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when Trenton Raile singled, scoring one run.
MNB Seniors were the first to get on the board in the second when Raile grounded out, scoring one run.
Loomis made the score 4-1 in the top of the third after Hoyt Thorell singled, scoring two runs, Graham Trompke grounded out, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.
MNB Seniors tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a home run to left field by Kooper Rakes, and a triple by Cole Davidson.
Kale Sattler pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for MNB Seniors. The southpaw allowed one hit and one run (zero earned) while, striking out seven and walking one. Rakes started the game for MNB Seniors. The hurler gave up zero hits and three runs over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three. Thorell began the game for Loomis. The left-handed pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking one.
Asher Wilson and Rakes were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for MNB Seniors while hitting back-to-back. Rakes and Raile each drove in two runs for MNB Seniors.
Thorell led Loomis with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Tyson Freeman stole two bases. Loomis turned one double play in the game.
