NCAA Announces 2025 Championship Brackets

Five Huskers are seeded 10th or better for the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships as the NCAA released the brackets Wednesday evening. This year’s tournament is set for March 20-22 in Philadelphia, Pa., at the Wells Fargo Center.

Brock Hardy leads the group of Huskers with the top seed at 141 pounds after his impressive junior season and recent Big Ten Championship. The two-time All-American will face the winner of No. 32 Lorenzo Frezza (COL) and No. 32 Nash Singleton (ORST) first. Fellow Big Ten Champion Ridge Lovett received a two-seed at 149 for his fourth NCAA Tournament appearance and will meet Northwestern’s No. 31 Sam Cartella in the opening round.

All-American Antrell Taylor punched his second ticket to the NCAA Championships with a third seed at 157 and will wrestle Missouri’s No. 30 James Conway in the first round. Lenny Pinto (174) and Caleb Smith (125) round out the top-10 seeded Huskers, as the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds respectively. Pinto will face Army’s No. 25 Dalton Harkins first while Smith, a 2024 All-American, is slated for Pittsburgh’s No. 24 Nick Babin.

Christopher Minto (165) and Silas Allred (184) each received a 12th seed for the tournament, as Minto makes his first appearance and Allred makes his third straight. Minto will wrestle Little Rock’s No. 21 Joseph Bianchi in the first round. Allred’s opening bout will be against No. 21 Malachi DuVall from George Mason University.

At 133, Jacob Van Dee is seeded at No. 17, and will begin his second-consecutive NCAA campaign up against No. 16 Ryan Miller (PENN). True freshman Camden McDanel punched his NCAA ticket finishing fifth at his first Big Ten Championships. McDanel received the 20th seed at 197, and will face Oregon State’s No. 13 Trey Munoz in the first round.

The 2024-25 NCAA Championships will be held in Philadelphia, Pa., at the Wells Fargo Center, March 20-22. Session I is set to begin at 11 a.m. (CT) on Thursday.
