Nebraska vs. Creighton

• Nebraska and Minnesota have met 76 times on the diamond, with the Husker holding a 41-34-1 lead over the Golden Gophers in the all-time series.

Big Red Set for 12th Midweek Matchup

• Nebraska enters Tuesday's tilt at Creighton with a 9-2 record in midweek games this season.

• In the 11 midweek contests, the Husker offense is batting .312 at the plate with 20 doubles, three triples and five home runs while scoring 7.6 runs per game.

• The NU pitching staff has recorded a 4.31 ERA and a 2.9 strikeout-to-walk ratio while limiting opponents to a .231 batting average in the midweek games.

Jasa Named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week

• Redshirt sophomore Carson Jasa was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week after helping the Huskers to a series sweep vs. Iowa.

• Jasa improved to 9-2 on the year after dealing seven shutout innings in the Big Red's 10-0 run-rule win in the series opener.

• The right-hander allowed just two singles and struck out nine with a pair of walks while recording his sixth quality start of the season.

Katskee Gets the Nod on Tuesday Night

• Redshirt junior Cooper Katskee is set to toe the rubber and make his 10th start of the season tomorrow night at Creighton.

•Katskee is 5-2 on the season with a 5.23 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 53.1 innings across 15 appearances on the mound.

A Look at the Weekend Rotation

• Redshirt sophomore Carson Jasa takes the mound on Thursday's series opener and is 9-2 on the season with a 3.31 ERA in 70.2 innings this season with 94 strikeouts across 13 starts.

• Ty Horn gets the nod on Friday and is 2-2 with a 3.97 ERA and 67 punchouts in 68 innings this season.

• Gavin Blachowicz is scheduled to start Saturday's series finale and is 4-2 with a 3.18 ERA, 64 strikeouts and an opposing batting average of .214 in 56.2 innings this season.

Jasa Nearing NU Single-Season Strikeout List

• Carson Jasa has 94 strikeouts on the year, which is second-most by a Husker in the Big Ten era and four away from reaching Nebraska's single-season strikeout chart.

• Jasa is four away from tying Phil Harrison (1986) in 10th and seven shy of matching Brett Sears (2024) in ninth.

Nebraska Sets Attendance Record in Big Ten Era

• In last weekend's sweep of Iowa, Nebraska set a program record for the largest home Big Ten series with an attedance of 22,815 fans.

• Last weekend's series attendance is the third-largest conference series all-time at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park, including the most since 2006.

•Sunday's season-high attendance of 7,948 was the program's largest crowd in the Big Ten era and the 22nd all-time in ballpark history, followed by Saturday's attendance of 7,773 fans.

Home Sweet Home at Haymarket Park

• Nebraska finished the regular-season home slate with a 23-1 record at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park, recording the most home wins in a season since compiling a 29-5-1 record in 2008.

• Additionally, the Big Red set a ballpark record with a .958 winning percentage in home games, surpassing the previous record set in 2005 with a 33-4 home record and an .892 winning percentage.

•The Huskers are 463-184-1 in 648 all-time games at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park after last weekend's sweep of Iowa.

Moyer, Carey Become NU's First 75-Hit Duo Since 2014

• With Mac Moyer and Dylan Carey leading the Big Red with 79 and 65 hits, respectively, the Huskers are one of three Power Four programs in the country with two players with at least 75 hits on the season as of May 11.

• Moyer and Carey are the first Husker duo with 75-plus hits in the same season since Pat Kelly (76 hits) and Michael Pritchard (75 hits) in 2014.

• With Case Sanderson third on the team with 68 hits this season, the Big Red could have a trio of Huskers with at least 75 hits for the first time since 2005.

Notables on the 2026 Campaign

• With wins against No. 7 Auburn, No.12 USC (3x), No. 16 Florida State and No. 21 Oregon this season, the Big Red have 12 wins against ranked opponents in the last two seasons.

• With the series sweep of No. 12 USC earlier this season, Nebraska recorded its first sweep against a ranked team since sweeping No. 19 Texas in a non-conference series in 2015.

• Nebraska has recorded multiple 10-game win streaks in the same season for the first time since 2006 after posting win streaks 10 and 11 games this season.

• Head coach Will Bolt recorded his 200th career win at Nebraska in the Huskers' 12-2 run-rule victory in seven innings vs. No. 12 USC, becoming the sixth head coach in program history to reach the 200-win mark.

• Dylan Carey is the ninth Husker in program history, and the first since Scott Schreiber in 2018, to record at least 200 hits, 150 runs and 150 RBI.

• Mac Moyer saw his 45-game on-base streak come to an end earlier this month at Ohio State, which is the longest streak by a Husker since Brice Matthews' string of 52 straight games in 2023.

• The Husker offense is scoring 7.5 runs per game through 51 games this season. Since 2013, the Big Red have finished one full season above seven runs per game after scoring 7.5 runs per game in 2023.

• The Huskers have recorded five walk-off victories this season. Going back to the final three weeks of the regular season in 2025, Nebraska has totaled nine wins in walk-off fashion.

• The Big  Red have run-ruled their opponent eight times and has scored 10-plus runs 16 times through 51 games this season.

• The NU pitching staff is holding opponents to a .230 batting average through 48 games, which would be the second-lowest opponent batting average for a full season this century, trailing the current low of .227 in 2005.

• Dylan Carey ranks among the DI's active career leaders in five categories, including second at-bats (871), fourth in doubles (62), fifth in games played (226), sixth in hits (256) and 12th in total bases (425).

Offensive Outburst Against Big Ten Foes

• Since joining the Big Ten in 2012, Nebraska has scored 30-plus runs in a three-game conference series 13 times after last weekend's series sweep of Iowa.

• The Big Red totaled its sixth-highest Big Ten series total after racking up 33 runs against the Hawkeyes in Lincoln last weekend.

Carey Becomes NU's All-Time Doubles Leader

• Senior Dylan Carey became Nebraska's all-time leader in doubles last month, surpassing a record held by none other than Husker head coach Will Bolt.

• Carey broke the record with a leadoff double to begin the bottom of the seventh inning in the series finale against Indiana on March 29, giving him his 57th career two-base hit.

•Bolt set the previous mark of 56 doubles during his playing career at Nebraska, a record that stood since 2002.

Carey Joins 200-Career Hit Club, Climbs All-Time List

• Dylan Carey became the 28th member of Nebraska's 200-hit club with five hits in a road series at No. 7 Auburn earlier this season.

• Carey is three hits shy of tying Scott Schreiber (2015-18) in fifth and five hits away from matching Darin Erstad (1993-95) in fourth on the all-time list in program history.

• Before Carey, the Huskers had five players join the 200-hit club since 2015, including second-round draft picks Max Anderson (2021-23) and Ryan Boldt (2014-16).

Grego Among Top True Freshman Impact Since 2000

• Freshman Drew Grego has driven in 40 runs this season, which ranks fourth-most by an NU true freshman this century.

• Grego is batting .331 on the season with eight doubles, a triple, seven homers, 40 RBI, 27 runs scored and a .975 OPS.

• The outfielder is an RBI shy of tying Daniel Bruce (2002) and eight away from matching Alex Gordon (2003).

•Grego was named Big Ten's Co-Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, NCBWA's National Hitter of the Week, Perfect Game's Freshman of the Week and to Baseball America's National Team of the Week after leading the Huskers to a perfect 4-0 week against Creighton and No. 12 USC earlier this season.

Buck Tied for Sixth-Most in Sacrifice Flies

• Senior Jett Buck has seven sacrifice flies on the season, which is tied for sixth-most by a Husker in a single season.

•Buck is one away from tying Angelo Altavilla (2017), Bill Vosik (1990), Ken Ramos (1988) and Burt Beattie (1985) in second.

• On the year, Buck is batting .304 with 13 doubles, eight home runs, 43 runs driven in and 43 runs scored in 50 starts.
