Nebraska State Patrol 73rd Basic Recruit Camp to Graduate Thursday

June 17, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.)  — The Nebraska State Patrol is ready to add a new class of Troopers. The 73rd Basic Recruit Class of the Nebraska State Patrol will graduate during a ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol this Thursday, June 18, 2026. The ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Rotunda of the Capitol, 1445 K. Street, in Lincoln.

Remarks will be provided by Governor Jim Pillen, Attorney General Mike Hilgers, and Colonel Bryan Waugh, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. The recruits will receive their badges and take the oath of office, which will be administered by Secretary of State Bob Evnen.

Following graduation, the new troopers will continue their training in field, paired with veteran troopers for several months during the field training process. The graduation ceremony will be live streamed on the NSP Facebook Page.
