Two new Community Hospital board of directors are joining the board in December. Karen Craw and Grant Norgaard will begin their three-year terms at the December 20 board meeting.

Craw, a lifetime resident of Southwest Nebraska for the past 34 years, serves as a loan officer at Pinnacle Bank and works as a server at the Coppermill Steakhouse. She says, "Both jobs have allowed me to meet new people and understand the different dynamics of Southwest Nebraska." She goes on to express, "McCook is a great community that I love and want to see continue to prosper." With six kids and three grandkids, she and her husband, Kent, stay very busy.

Norgaard currently serves as the Superintendent of McCook Public Schools. He is honored to join the board, stating, "I believe it is essential for citizens to actively engage with organizations and entities that prioritize the growth, well-being, and quality of life for all residents." He adds, "This personal philosophy strongly resonates with the mission of McCook Community Hospital, which is dedicated to fostering healthy communities through progressive and proactive care." Norgaard is happily married to Michelle and is a proud parent to Hayden and Victoria.

Other members of the Community Hospital board of directors include: Matt Davidson, Darren Esch, Ashley Vontz, NP-C, Jana Kmoch, PharmD, Michael Lord, and Matt Nielsen.

Fulfilling their maximum limit of two three-year terms at the November board meeting were board chair Kristin Stagemeyer and board vice-chair Garrett Rippen.
