Southwest Hires New Head Girls Basketball Coach

Bartley, NE - Southwest Public Schools has announced the hiring of Tyler Pool as the New Head Girls Basketball Coach for next season.  Tyler Pool takes over for Shannon Lovin who spent the past two seasons as Head Girls Basketball Coach for Southwest guiding the Roughriders to the State Girls Basketball Tournament for the first time in program history in the 2024-2025 season.  Lovin stepped down from coaching after the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season.

Tyler Pool previously comes from Hitchcock County as he served as the Boys Head Basketball Coach for one year guiding the Falcons to a 13-12 overall record with three of the losses last season decided by just one point.
