Tara Peterman Named McCook Head Girls Track Coach For 2025-2026 School Year

McCook High School is excited to announce Tara Peterman will take over the Girls Track Head
Coach position for the McCook Bison at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Tara is the
current Art Teacher at high school and track and cross-country coach.

Tara graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2015 and hired by McCook High
School as an Art Teacher that same year. Tara began her coaching experiences at McCook High
School and Junior High working with volleyball, track and field, basketball, dance, and cross
country teams in her 10 years with the school

She is a 2009 McCook High School graduate and participated in volleyball, basketball, and track
while in high school. She attended both the McCook Community College and the University of
Nebraska at Kearney.

Current McCook Girls Head Track Coach Brent May will retire at the end of the upcoming spring track season.
