Two McCook Football Players to Play in Nebraska Shrine Bowl

Nebraska Shrine Bowl

The McCook Bison Football program is proud to announce that seniors Tristan Campbell and Oliver Corbett have been selected to play in the 68th Nebraska Shrine Bowl Game. This game will be played on Saturday June 6, 2026 at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on the campus of the University of Nebraska at Kearney in Kearney, NE. Tristan and Oliver will do a great job representing our football program, school, and the community of McCook. We are very proud of Tristan and Oliver. They have both meant a great deal to the McCook Bison Football program.

Tristan Campbell: Tristan Campbell is the definition of what it means to be a McCook Bison Football Player — tough, disciplined, leader, and relentlessly committed to excellence. A two-year captain and three-year starter, Tristan’s leadership through his career set the standard for our program both on and off the field. His work ethic is unmatched, and his character exemplifies everything you want in a student-athlete. In 2025, he was the heart of our offense, rushing 183 times for 1,522 yards (8 yards per carry, 152 yards per game) and 26 touchdowns, while also adding 146 receiving yards, a receiving touchdown, and a 96-yard kickoff return touchdown. Defensively, he contributed 87 tackles (39 solo), 4 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. Over his career, Tristan amassed 3,260 rushing yards (4th all-time in McCook history), 44 rushing touchdowns, and over 370 receiving yards with 5 receiving touchdowns, while also totaling 216 tackles and 4 interceptions on defense. Tristan’s competitive drive and leadership have made him one of the more decorated players in McCook football history. His impact on our program will be felt for years to come.

Oliver Corbett: It wasn’t hard to spot Oliver Corbett on the field — his unique size, stature, and pure athleticism made him stand out immediately. A three-year starter at outside linebacker and nickel, Oliver was the ultimate defensive mismatch and a nightmare for opposing offenses. His blend of physicality, speed, and football IQ allowed him to seamlessly transition from locking down slot receivers in man coverage to being a dominant force against the run. It became clear throughout his career that many offenses simply chose to run away from his side — and who could blame them? In 2025, Oliver recorded 60 tackles (25 solo), 4 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, and 5 pass deflections, consistently disrupting plays and setting the tone for our defense. That also doesn't include his impact on special teams for us playing on almost every unit because of his ability to cover the field and tackle returners. Oliver embodies toughness, versatility, and leadership in every sense. His impact both on the field and off the field for our program makes him truly special.
