Weather postpones MCC basketball, softball games

Tonight’s women’s and men’s basketball games at McCook Community College have been postponed due to the weather. No makeup dates for the games with Northeastern Junior College have been set.

The MCC softball team’s schedule has also yielded to the weather. Monday’s scheduled doubleheader in Liberal, Kan. with Seward County turned into an 11-inning scrimmage because of umpire scheduling issues and cold weather. The Lady Indians were supposed to begin Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference play this week with a pair of road doubleheaders, but Wednesday’s games at North Platte and Friday’s game at Columbus against Central Community College were postponed and teams are looking to make up those games next week.
